The Cleveland Cavaliers are the best team in basketball, and it’s not even close right now.
Of course, their core four gets most of the credit, and rightly so.
However, as much as they deserve praise for their work on the court, Max Strus believes that’s not even the most important thing they’ve done for this team.
Talking to Serena Winters, the former Miami Heat guard/forward tipped his hat to his star teammates for the way they carry themselves and the vibe they create in the locker room.
“If your stars are the best people in your locker room, that don’t come to work with an ego, that’s when your team’s going to be really good, and we have that,” he said.
Great quote from Max Strus about this @Cavs team:

That’s not a small thing at all.
We’ve seen teams with much more talent not perform as well as the Cavs have.
Whether it’s because of their high egos or the way they carry themselves or anything else, the fact of the matter is that it’s usually not good.
Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, and Evan Mobley should all be All-Stars this season and be considered for All-NBA selections and multiple awards.
Then again, they know they’re only in that position because of what everybody else does.
Teams that care about one another and get along are usually good teams.
It’s easier to play hard night in and night out when everybody’s motivated and on the same page.
And while this team won’t win every game, knowing they can trust one another to get the job done is a huge plus.
