The Cleveland Cavaliers are in an uncomfortable spot right now, and their season could be over in a matter of days. The team is 2-0 against the New York Knicks, and they desperately need a huge win as soon as possible.
Luckily for them, they are headed to Cleveland, and playing in front of their home crowd could work wonders for them.
Speaking to 92.3 The Fan, Danny Green talked about what the Cavs have to do in order to even the series and eventually win. According to him, it’s all about playing one game at a time.
“You have your home floor. You have your fans behind you. Your role players will play better. You gotta make (the Knicks) have an off night,” Green said.

The Cleveland home court will help, and the loud cheer of the fans will give them some much-needed support. But the Cavaliers are still in a really bad spot, and they will need more than a change of location to turn things around.
Donovan Mitchell needs to be looking better, James Harden can’t get bullied by Jalen Brunson, and Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley have to work expertly in tandem to get the job done.
If the Cavaliers end up losing this series, they will forever regret Game 1, when they gave up a big lead and ended up getting defeated in overtime. That may sting if they fall into a 3-0 hole.
And if they do achieve a homecourt win over the Knicks, they need to be careful not to get too confident. A win is huge, of course, but they would still need several more to win.
That is why Green’s advice is smart, though. Instead of thinking about the rest of the series, the Cavaliers need to focus on just one game. If they can swing the momentum, fans could be hopeful for Game 4.
And if they can use their enthusiasm from a Game 3 win and create even more from it, this series could become anyone’s to win.
