The Sacramento Kings are expanding and will benefit from a popular figure from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
On Thursday, James Ham announced that the Kings are adding D.J. Ham to their coaching staff as head of player development.
Ham is the son of Milwaukee Bucks assistant coach Darvin Ham and was most recently a player development coach and video assistant for the Cavaliers.
Clearly, this is a huge step up for Ham and a major move forward for his career.

Although the Cavaliers will miss Ham, they wish him well, and he is sure to find new success with the Kings.
Moving up in the NBA world is always a big deal, but leaving behind the team is sure to be hard.
However, he will have many more opportunities with the Kings, a team that is transforming and attempting to become one of the best and most exciting young squads in the Western Conference.
After a brief flirtation with being one of the top teams in their conference a few years ago, the Kings sadly fell back down to earth and have been struggling ever since.
Last season, they didn’t even make the playoffs, and it led to a lot of questions about their road ahead.
So far this summer, they haven’t made massive changes, and fans are worried that they are about to have another lackluster and disappointing season.
Ham will have his work cut out for him because player development is a huge responsibility, especially if the Kings add a few more players to the lineup.
