The Cleveland Cavaliers have been one of the best teams in the NBA all year.
They got out to a hot 15-0 start, and haven’t looked back, holding the best record in the league through 35 games.
Kenny Atkinson has this team rolling, hoping they can continue this momentum through the rest of the regular season and into the playoffs.
One of the strengths that the Cavaliers have banked on is their depth.
Many analysts believe the Cavaliers have one of, if not the deepest rosters in the NBA.
This team has several players who can come off the bench and make an immediate impact, which helps their star players get much-needed rest and play at their fullest capacity.
With that in mind, Atkinson was asked about the importance of the team’s starting lineup, since they are constantly bringing in fresh legs during games.
“We’re gonna have to pull the right strings when money time happens,” Atkinson said.

Asked #Cavs head coach Kenny Atkinson whether a starting lineup even matters all that much when a team is as deep as this one is with so many options throughout a game.

Atkinson effectively said that he and his fellow coaches are going to keep doing what they need to do to win, and when it comes to offseason contracts, those will sort themselves out accordingly.
Some Cavaliers players, especially star players, might not like when they are relegated to the bench during a game, but the system is working for them.
It might be unconventional in today’s NBA, but since it has worked, at least to this point in the season, there’s no reason for the Cavaliers to go away from their methods anytime soon.
