The race is on for Sixth Man of the Year and members of the Cleveland Cavaliers know who they want to win.
Speaking after the team’s latest victory, Jarrett Allen gave special attention to Ty Jerome, who had a monster game against the Miami Heat.
“He just seemed so comfortable out there,” Cavs big man Jarrett Allen admitted to Right Down Euclid during postgame. “Crazy. He showed why he’s one of the best players and should be the Sixth Man of the Year. He did everything for us tonight.”
During that game, Jerome posted 28 points, five rebounds, and three assists coming off the bench.
It was just the latest great performance from Jerome, who is a finalist for Sixth Man of the Year after a wonderful season.
His average in 2024-25 was 12.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists on 51.6 percent from the field and 43.9 percent from the three-point line.
This was his second year with the Cavaliers, and he showed why the team is so lucky to have him.
His first playoff game was a big one and now fans are hoping he can keep showing up like this in the days and weeks ahead.
Allen isn’t the only one blown away by Jerome, and the 27-year-old guard has a shot at winning one of the top prizes in the NBA.
The more important trophy might be his too, because the Cavaliers might be champions by the end of the postseason.
The Cavaliers will need more than one great game from Jerome if they want a title.
He’s started strong, and now he needs to keep it up.
