The Cleveland Cavaliers didn’t come close to their goals in the playoffs this year, partly because of injuries that got in their way.
They simply were not at 100 percent, again.
Some fans are calling out the Cavs for repeatedly getting injured, but is that fair?
Speaking on “Full Court Cleveland,” Sam Amico talked about criticizing the team for getting hurt.
According to him, some complaints should be heard, depending on who is making them.
“It can be a very unfair thing to call into question the severity of guys’ injuries when you don’t know what it is, but we do see guys playing through things in the playoffs a lot. If it’s some knucklehead like me calling them out, then that’s stupid. But if it’s somebody like Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, who have played in the NBA and have played at championship levels, then you do have to take that into account,” Amico said.

From Darius Garland to Evan Mobley to Donovan Mitchell and others, it seems like everyone in Cleveland suffered from the injury bug at one point or another.
To be fair, it wasn’t as bad as last season, but it still cost the Cavaliers some of their strength and consistency.
Unfortunately, this is the second year in a row that the Cavs have been held back because of this issue, and it has people talking.
Does something need to change in Cleveland, from the conditioning program to possibly the roster?
It is true that players generally don’t have any control over getting hurt, and they obviously have no intention to do so.
But it’s okay to raise questions about why this happens so often.
Cleveland’s front office will surely be raising those questions this summer, but will they find answers?
More importantly, will they find solutions?
