The Cleveland Cavaliers had a very busy and productive weekend, beating the New York Knicks and Memphis Grizzlies on Friday and Sunday.
Their win over the Knicks was most impressive, with them walking away with an easy 142-105 victory.
Speaking on “Get Up,” Timothy Legler said the Cavs are “legit” and “absolutely looking the Celtics dead in the eye.”
He then listed three reasons why they own the Eastern Conference.
He said it all starts with the addition of De’Andre Hunter, who will be used a lot in the postseason, especially against the Celtics.
He also commented on Ty Jerome, who is having a breakout season.
Finally, Legler called Evan Mobley “a different player offensively” and yet another key piece of the puzzle in Cleveland.
"The Cavaliers are legit. … They're absolutely looking the Celtics dead in the eye."

After their two wins over the weekend, the Cavs are now 47-10 and are six games ahead of the second-place Celtics.
Hunter has definitely been a blessing for the Cavaliers.
On Sunday evening, he posted 12 points and eight rebounds and showed some of his defensive prowess that will be so needed in the playoffs, especially if the team goes toe-to-toe against the New York Knicks or Celtics.
And Jerome was on a tear too, posting 26 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
For the season, Jerome is averaging 11.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists and is spending about 19 minutes per game on the floor.
Mobley was fantastic again too, posting 25 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists against the Grizzlies, which was yet another great game for the big man.
This was another instance of the Cavaliers being one of the deepest and most reliable teams in the East and a true force to be reckoned with.
They have many things going for them but these are three of the strongest reasons why they should be seen as true title contenders.
