The Cleveland Cavaliers are playing like a unit right now.
There’s no ego, no individual agendas, just a team looking to play basketball at a high level.
That was on full display during a recent win against the Denver Nuggets.
Kenny Atkinson’s team set a franchise record for the most points scored in a non-overtime game, dropping 149 points on Mike Malone’s squad.
The Cavaliers did that on the road, primarily thanks to their selflessness, as they had 40 assists.
Asked about that, Donovan Mitchell talked about how the Cavs are trying to make a habit out of spreading the wealth, and with other players setting the tone, it was easy to fall in line.
“For us, it’s just building habits. Gettin’ good looks for each other,” Mitchell said, via Dilly Bar 2145.
Donovan Mitchell Postgame After Win vs Nuggets:
“Nothing. For us, it’s just building habits— Step up to the test….. we may go 4-0, we may go 1-3 but how do we continue to build and learn—- He (Jarrett Allen) set the tone….. For us, we feed off that— But are you committed to do… pic.twitter.com/StzHKNqzUr

The Cavaliers’ offense has been a treat to watch this season.
The ball rarely touches the floor, and they average the fifth-most assists in the league at 28.9 per game.
In addition, they have the best field goal percentage (50.6 percent) and score the second-most points per game (121.7) despite ranking eighth in pace (100.71).
They also have the best 3-point field goal percentage (40.9 percent).
On the downside, they could and should be better from the free-throw line, as they are tied for 17th at 77.6 percent.
The Cavaliers lead the league in offensive rating (123.5) while averaging the third-fewest turnovers in the league (13.2 per game).
It’s easy to win when you’re moving the ball like that and getting so many easy and wide-open looks.
