Not so long ago, Cleveland Cavaliers fans and analysts had some serious doubts about their frontcourt.
Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley were great on their own, but their fit together raised some eyebrows.
They both could protect the rim and dominate the glass, but neither was much of a floor-spacer.
That’s why Mobley being able to shoot from the perimeter this season has been such a big boost for this team.
Now, both big men are better complementing each other, and it shows in the team’s record.
Moreover, their camaraderie and rapport on the court seem to be as high as ever.
That’s why they wanted to make sure to send a clear message after defeating the Denver Nuggets.

Truth be told, it’s hard to argue with those statements.
Allen is averaging 13.3 points and 10.0 rebounds per game on 68.7 percent shooting from the floor.
Mobley is averaging 18.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.4 blocks and 1.1 made 3-pointers per game on 57.4 percent shooting from the floor and 43.7 percent from beyond the arc.
Granted, those numbers might not pop out as much as those of other players with bigger names.
But when you’ve helped your team win 27 of its first 31 games, you deserve to be an All-Star.
The Cavaliers have four players with a legitimate case to make it to the showcase, and hopefully, fans and players will give credit where it’s due.
