The Cleveland Cavaliers aren’t just winning games this season.
They’re crushing their opposition.
That was the case again in the win over the New York Knicks.
The Cavs put up 41 points in the first quarter and never looked back en route to a 142-105 win.
That was the team’s 14th win of at least 20 points this season and their 34th win of at least 10 points.
When asked about that mindset, Donovan Mitchell raved about how the team wanted to make sure that other teams weren’t able to come back.
I asked Donovan Mitchell about #Cavs dominance this season, and blowing out opponents – this was their 14th 20+ win and 34th 10+ of the season pic.twitter.com/mOnHAC6Xc1

He talked about the mini-slump they had to endure earlier in the campaign, adding that they had grown from it and knew what they needed to do to stay on the right course.
The Cavs currently have the second-best net rating in the league at 11.2, and having all but 12 of their 46 wins this season coming by double digits speaks volumes about their dominance.
No team goes 30+ games above .500 out of sheer luck and chance.
Mitchell credited his team’s strong and selfless mindset, talking about how they’ve had multiple closers depending on the situation, from himself to Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, or even Ty Jerome.
He also talked about his team’s resiliency and how they’ve managed to fight back and win games they were losing.
The Cavs are playing like a championship-caliber team right now.
There’s still plenty of basketball to be played this season, but you have to love their chances with the way they’ve dominated their opposition this season.
