The Cleveland Cavaliers positively streamrolled the New York Knicks on Friday night and it wasn’t even close.
The Cavs made it look easy on their way to a 142-105 victory, giving them one of their best nights of the year and severely embarrassing the Knicks.
According to Fred Katz, this game didn’t just look great, it also helped the Cavaliers’ overall offensive output for the season.
He stated that the Cavaliers are now averaging 121.9 points per 100 possessions, which is just three-tenths of a point shy of the single-season record that was set by the Boston Celtics last year.
If the Cavaliers have a few more powerful wins like this one, they may overtake the Celtics’ single-season record.
After last night's dominant performance, the Cavaliers are now averaging 121.9 points per 100 possessions, only three-tenths of a point short of Boston's single-season record, which the Celtics set last season.

Of course, can the Cavaliers score another win like this soon?
Beating any team by nearly 40 points doesn’t happen that often but the Cavaliers obviously have what it takes to win by a large margin.
Their schedule ahead is going to be tough because the Cavs are taking on the Memphis Grizzlies, Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics, and Portland Trail Blazers in the week ahead.
Will any of those teams allow the Cavaliers to win like they did on Friday night?
Even if they don’t, it’s very clear that there aren’t many offensive units as strong as Cleveland.
They have scored massive victories throughout the season, including a 144-101 win over the Dallas Mavericks just a few weeks ago.
This team is repeatedly reminding fans that they are the real deal and their eye-popping win on Friday night confirmed that again.
