The Cleveland Cavaliers are holding onto the best record in the NBA, although the Oklahoma City Thunder are working hard to surpass them.
They have been sensational since the start of the season and have earned a lot of praise from fans and analysts.
But are they being counted out and missing out on the national coverage they deserve?
Speaking to Spencer Davies, Darius Garland gave some insight into why the Cavaliers don’t get enough respect.
He feels somewhat clueless about why they aren’t praised more but believes the “small market” of Cleveland has something to do with it.
He isn’t the only person who feels the Cavaliers are being discredited and ignored because of their city.
“I guess a small market, that the only thing I can really think of.”

The NBA and media like to pay more attention to bigger cities and their teams.
That’s why the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, and Chicago Bulls are always talked about, no matter how well they are doing.
Cleveland is a very loyal city with millions of great fans, but the Cavaliers are sometimes ignored and not given enough credit.
Another reason for this may be because the team hasn’t proven itself in the postseason recently.
They have had good seasons before, but they fell apart in the playoffs.
Of course, they have never had a season like this and Garland and the rest of the team feel it is time they are treated like championship contenders.
The Cavaliers aren’t happy about the lack of credit they get, but they can use it as motivation to keep playing hard, keep scoring big wins, and proving to everyone how special they are.
