The Cleveland Cavaliers are a team of big plays, not necessarily big names.
Being a small market team, their players don’t usually get the recognition they deserve, not even despite their league-best record.
Nonetheless, Jarrett Allen’s performances have become impossible to ignore.
The Cavs’ big man put on another show in the win over the Charlotte Hornets.
As shown by Cavs Muse on X, Allen finished the game with 19 points on 9-of-10 from the floor, adding 11 rebounds and a couple of blocks.

Allen has played at an All-Star level and should get the nod this season.
While his numbers might not be the most impressive around the league, he should, at the very least, make the team as a reserve.
He’s logged 20 double-doubles in 35 games this season and has been a defensive anchor for one of the best defensive teams in the league.
Allen’s impact on the court goes way beyond the numbers.
His presence when he’s looming around the rim forces opposing teams to alter their shots, and he has also made big strides when he’s been asked to defend on the perimeter.
Allen excels at guarding the pick-and-roll, and he’s also very good at drop coverage.
He doesn’t need a lot of touches to make his presence felt on the offensive end of the floor as well.
He’s an elite rim runner and a perennial lob threat, and his timing for offensive rebounds gives him plenty of putback and second-chance point opportunities.
Hopefully, he’ll get the honor he’s earned.
