The NBA is undoubtedly the biggest basketball league in the world.
Although there are many players that are popular around the globe, the popularity of the entire league is primarily due to the abundance of fans of the sport in the United States of America and Canada.
Keeping that in mind, the league has been taking several initiatives to try to make the NBA more popular in other countries.
A key step towards that is the NBA Global Games, which are simply a series of regular season games played outside of the U.S. and Canada.
Speaking of which, the Cleveland Cavaliers will take on the Brooklyn Nets in France as a part of this initiative.
Ahead of the much-anticipated game, the Cavaliers team took a picture in front of the Eiffel Tower, as revealed via ClutchPoints on Twitter.

The game between the Cavaliers and Nets is scheduled to take place this Thursday.
While it’s obvious that this game will undoubtedly contribute to the league’s attempt to increase its popularity around the globe, many believe that the NBA made a mistake.
Considering Rudy Gobert and Victory Wembanyama are two popular French stars showcasing their talents in the NBA, it makes no sense that neither the Minnesota Timberwolves nor the San Antonio Spurs are playing in France.
Hopefully, the next time around the NBA will plan these games by putting more thought into the matchups.
For this season, the French basketball plans are all set to enjoy a game between the Cavaliers and Nets.
