It’s not easy to make it to the NBA, much less as an undrafted player.
That’s why Nae’Qwan Tomlin has made sure to keep working hard and proving that he belongs.
Despite barely getting minutes with his ten-day contract, it seems like the team has been fairly impressed with the 24-year-old power forward.
That’s why they’ve chosen to sign him to a two-way contract.
Unfortunately, that also means that they have to part ways with another player.
According to a report by Evan Dammarell, they chose to move on from forward J.T. Thor.
The #Cavs have signed Nae’Qwon Tomlin to a two-way deal and have waived forward JT Thor.
Cleveland’s roster officially stands at 14 players and three two-way players.

The Cavaliers had until March 4th to make a roster decision.
They already had three players signed to two-way deals: Luke Travers, Emoni Bates, and the aforementioned Thor.
Thor spent most of the season with their G-League affiliate, so this move won’t have any sort of effect.
Tomlin, on the other hand, has been one of the best players for the Cleveland Charge this season, and it seems like he’s earned some consideration to crack Kenny Atkinson’s rotation.
Needless to say, it’s not easy to find minutes or even needs for the team with the best record in all of basketball.
Then again, even good things can get better, and while 24 years old might be a little too old for a first-year player, he could still be a steady contributor to this team in the future.
Whether he finds his way to the court often in the final stretch of the season remains to be seen, but the coaching staff clearly seems to like him.
