The Cleveland Cavaliers are the team to beat right now.
Despite having clinched a postseason berth already, they continue to fight hard and take care of business night in and night out.
Kenny Atkinson’s team has been historically good this season, especially on the offensive end of the floor.
As pointed out by Cavs Notes on X, they’re the first team to average at least 125 points per game over a 13-game win streak since the 1971-72 season.

Given how many offensive-driven teams we’ve seen in the most points-happy era in NBA history, that’s a lot to say.
Of course, it hasn’t always been easy.
The Cavs have usually brought their A-Game against contending teams, even storming back from a 22-point deficit vs. the defending NBA champions, the Boston Celtics.
However, we’ve also seen them at their worst, getting to slow starts and having to climb their way back into a game.
They barely survived a road date with the Charlotte Hornets to get their 53rd win of the season, escaping North Carolina with a one-point win.
Things won’t get much easier on Sunday when they hit the road again to square off against Damian Lillard, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and the Milwaukee Bucks, and it’s never easy to keep momentum in this league.
This has been the greatest season in franchise history, and it’s not particularly close at all.
Still, it won’t mean a thing without the ring, so as much as these win streaks are great, they must stay healthy and focused ahead of the postseason.
