The Cleveland Cavaliers need to add depth at center.
Jarrett Allen struggled in the playoffs again, and having veteran Tristan Thompson as his only backup isn’t ideal at this point.
With that in mind, the Cavs could target an intriguing prospect in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft, according to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.
“Cavs — with two picks in the 2nd round, Nos. 49 and 58 — had center Cliff Omoruyi in town for a workout today, sources tell Cleveland.com. Omoruyi is 6-11 and averaged double figures [three] straight years at Rutgers before playing at Alabama this season,” Fedor wrote.

Omoruyi isn’t much of a factor on offense.
He has a limited shooting range and does most of his damage in the restricted area as a rim-running lob threat.
However, he got better at all other aspects of his game during his five college seasons.
He’s a defensive stopper of sorts, and at slightly under 7-feet, he has a long wingspan and the athleticism to hold his own against bigger opposition.
Omoruyi’s rim protection was perhaps the most impressive part of his game, and his shot-blocking makes him a force to be reckoned with.
He’s also a solid rebounder at both ends, and while he’s not going to wow anybody with his scoring numbers, he can get to double digits off of putbacks and dunks alone.
The Cavs could use someone with his profile, and his college experience could make him a solid plug-and-play option and a worthy selection in the second round.
