The Portland Trail Blazers didn’t go down without a fight on Sunday and it required the entire Cleveland Cavaliers roster to take them out.
Once again, Ty Jerome was a massive help off the bench and scored historic numbers.
He put up 25 points, five rebounds, six assists, and a career-high six steals.
According to Cavs Notes, Jerome is the second player in league history to post these numbers off the bench.
The only other star to do so was Gus Williams for the Golden State Warriors all the way back in 1975.

Considering the Cavs beat the Blazers but just four points in overtime, Jerome’s output was hugely impactful.
It was just the latest terrific game from the 27-year-old guard, who is having an incredible season.
So far this year, he is averaging 12.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists on 51.6 percent from the field and 44.9 percent from the three-point line.
Compare that to last year when Jerome averaged 2.0 points, 0.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists and you can see how much he has improved.
Of course, Jerome only played in two games last year but that’s still a very impressive upgrade.
One of the Cavaliers’ most powerful assets is their bench.
They have one of the deepest rosters in the league and there are a number of people in the second unit who make success possible.
Jerome is one of many but he was shining brightest on Sunday.
The Cavaliers were able to pull off the win over Portland and they have now won 10 games in a row.
It wouldn’t have been possible without Jerome, who is earning every minute on the court this year.
