The Cleveland Cavaliers suffered a surprising loss on Friday night.
The Philadelphia 76ers upset them 132-129, thanks to strong performances from Paul George, Tyrese Maxey, and Kelly Oubre.
They combined for 81 points and made at least half of their field goal attempts.
It was an uncharacteristic showing from a Cavs team that has now lost consecutive games for just the second time all season.
Meanwhile, the 76ers ended a seven-game losing skid despite not having former MVP Joel Embiid in the lineup once again.
In the loss, guard Ty Jerome had a career night off the bench by going 11-of-14 for 33 points, including a filthy 8-for-8 from three-point range.
Jerome opened up during his media session after the loss and said, “That’s why in the playoffs there is a 7-game series and that’s why anyone can beat anyone on any given night…It’s a balance because you can’t overreact. You can’t overreact, but there are things we need to clean up, especially on the defensive side of the ball.”

Jerome went on to downplay his career-high 33 points, saying that’s not why he plays the game.
The 27-year-old out of Virginia has been on an absolute heater of late, averaging 14 points per game in the month of January on a blistering 59.4 percent shooting from three.
A two-game losing streak isn’t too much to worry about, but this team can’t start focusing on its hot start to the season.
Head coach Kenny Atkinson has repeatedly said that the hot first half has been nice, but it doesn’t mean anything unless they can keep things going.
The Cavs will look to get back on track when they face the Houston Rockets again on Saturday, a team that they lost to on January 22nd, to begin this mini skid.
