The Cleveland Cavaliers have the pleasure of sending three players to this year’s All-Star Game thanks to having the best record in the NBA, as Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and Evan Mobley have had an incredible first half to get the team to this point.
This is the sixth consecutive time Mitchell has been named to the All-Star team, and recent stats have shown how well he has performed in his past trips to All-Star weekend.
This is the second time Mitchell has been named a starter in the game, and MitchellMuse reminded everyone on X that the last time Mitchell started in an All-Star game, he went off for 40 points and ten assists.

Mitchell’s last start was two years ago for Team Durant in a 184-175 victory over Team LeBron, and he’ll look to put up the same numbers for Charles Barkley’s team on Sunday.
Mitchell is averaging 23.9 points and 4.8 assists per game this season with a career-low turnover rate, which is a major reason why the Cavs are sitting comfortably at 44-10 and looking like legitimate title contenders for the first time since LeBron James left town.
The 6-time All-Star will be starting for Team Chuck alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Nikola Jokic to form a devastating 5-man lineup.
He has exactly the kind of game that plays well in an All-Star game and will look to join LeBron and Kyrie Irving as the only Cavaliers to be named All-Star MVP.
Regardless if he wins or not, it will be fun to see him going up against Garland and Mobley, who are both on Kenny Smith’s team.
