The Cavaliers have been on a wonderful run lately and are the second-best team in the East with a very strong 36-17 record.
Mitchell has been at the center of the team’s success this season and has remained a consistent and reliable leader and playmaker.
The Cavaliers have been plagued by injuries all season long and they have needed Mitchell to be his best.
That’s exactly what he has done, cementing himself as the most important member of the roster.
There is a lot more talent on the team, of course, and Mitchell has gotten a ton of help from multiple players.
Yet there is no doubt that he’s the Cavaliers’ MVP.
Uncertainty is circling Mitchell and the Cavaliers and it’s not entirely clear what the future holds for their relationship.
Will he still be playing in Cleveland next season or will he find a new home in the NBA this summer?
Fans are hoping he remains with the Cavaliers because he is without a doubt a huge help to the team.
