The Cavaliers’ stellar performance this season has put them in rarified air, posting an extraordinary 33-5 record to start the campaign.
This achievement puts them in elite company – only nine other teams in NBA history have matched this blazing start.
The historical significance is striking: seven of those teams reached the NBA Finals, with six claiming the championship.
These aren’t just any teams either – we’re talking about legendary squads like the Chicago Bulls of the 1990s, the 1971 Los Angeles Lakers, and the 1983 Philadelphia 76ers.
The most recent comparison comes from the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors, who stormed to a historic 73-9 record.
However, their dream season hit a roadblock in the NBA Finals.
Cleveland fans remember it well – it was the year their team engineered the most incredible Finals comeback in NBA history, taking down those record-setting Warriors in seven games.
These upcoming nationally televised games will give basketball fans across the country a chance to witness firsthand what’s making this Cavaliers team so special.
