The Cleveland Cavaliers entered the season with pretty much the same roster from last season.
Some fans weren’t particularly pleased about that.
Even with all their talent, there were doubts about whether their stars could coexist on the court.
Fast forward to today, and coach Kenny Atkinson has them all playing at an elite level, including those who aren’t big-name players.
Ty Jerome, for instance, has been one of the most efficient scorers in the game.
When asked about his backup point guard, Coach Atkinson claimed that Jerome was “in a zone,” adding that it was “phenomenal” to see him play like this (via FanDuel Sports Network Cleveland).

Jerome is in a zone, indeed.
He’s averaging 12.6 points and 3.8 assists per game on almost 60% from the floor and 54% from beyond the arc.
It feels like every shot he takes is going in.
He’s taken a big step forward when needed to be a starter and fill in for Darius Garland, and he’s also been the team’s primary ball-handler when he’s shared the court with Donovan Mitchell.
Of course, his efficiency numbers might not be sustainable for an entire season, but he’s been on a tear for the first 18 games of the campaign.
It takes a village to find success in the National Basketball Association.
The starters and stars will get most of the credit and the headlines, but having players like Ty Jerome can make a huge difference when the playoffs hit and rotations get shorter.
