The All-Star break is a great time for NBA players to take some time off, relax with family, and get their heads on straight before the grueling second half of the season.
As great as all that is, it can lead to a bit of laziness and sometimes requires teams to work off their rust when they get back to playing.
The Cleveland Cavaliers definitely had rust to work through on Thursday night but they did it against the Brooklyn Nets and ended up walking away with a big 110-97 win.
Following the game, Jarrett Allen spoke with Serena Winters and said the team started sluggishly but just had to get their “neurotransmitters going.”
After being questioned about what that meant, he re-iterated that the Cavaliers needed to “get things re-wired” so they could be in the right rhythm again.
Name another player that drops ‘neurotransmitters’ in the post-game interview.
I’ll wait 😂

Allen definitely did his part in the win, posting 16 points and a season-high 20 points.
He admitted that he kept looking up at the scoreboard during the game and when he reached 15 boards, he knew he had to dig deep to get at least five more.
Allen’s interview showed another example of the calm and collected personality that fans love so much.
Allen is humorous, laid back, and smart, and also quietly driven to push himself and his team.
He is a central part of the Cavaliers’ chemistry and a fan favorite.
He did incredibly well during Thursday’s game but now more challenges await him and his team.
They aren’t getting any time off and will battle the New York Knicks on Friday night before taking on the Memphis Grizzlies, Orlando Magic, and Boston Celtics later this week.
The team’s neurotransmitters will have to keep functioning well in the days ahead.
