The Cleveland Cavaliers easily took down the Miami Heat in their first game of the postseason, a promising sign of what might be coming.
All season, fans have commented on Kenny Atkinson’s 10-man rotation.
Will it remain the same throughout the playoffs, or will Atkinson make adjustments moving forward?
Speaking on “Full Court Cleveland,” Sam Amico talked about the rotation and just how great the team’s depth is.
“That’s your top seven,” Amico referred to the Cavs’ starting five plus Jerome and Hunter. “Beyond that, you think about Dean Wade, Isaac Okoro, Sam Merrill—those are probably your main three guys. One of the Cavs’ great advantages in the postseason is going to be their depth.”

During Game 1, it was the usual suspects who did the most work for the Cavaliers.
Donovan Mitchell led the way with 30 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
Meanwhile, Darius Garland put up 27 points, three rebounds, and five assists.
But it was Ty Jerome off the bench with the second-most points, 28 in 26 minutes.
Atkinson has found a rotation that works really well for his team.
He has a starting five that he often relies on, but there are many supporting stars, such as Jerome, who can carry their weight and have huge nights.
Jerome’s recent work has been great for the Cavaliers, and he is in the running for Sixth Man of the Year for a reason.
He’s not the only player who makes the Cavaliers so deep.
De’Andre Hunter, Sam Merrill, Isaac Okoro, and others seem ready to help and improve the team’s chances, no matter how many minutes they get.
This team has never been so deep, and never so threatening.
