Good NBA teams get off to strong starts, but great teams take care of business when it matters the most.
Notably, that has been the case with the Cleveland Cavaliers this season.
Once they get a lead late in the game, there’s no coming back for their opposition.
They showed that two nights ago vs. the Chicago Bulls, as they closed out a game on a 32-8 run to finish the quarter 43-23 and get a 22-point win.
When asked about their late-game dominance, Evan Mobley talked about how experience and confidence have helped them get to this point (via Daryl Ruiter).

He admitted that they weren’t always the best team at closing out games, but they now believe they can get the job done and take care of business regardless of the situation.
Now that the team has clinched a playoff spot, Mobley claimed that the team is striving to find much more, and they will focus on getting better in the remaining 20 games of the season.
Mobley said that the team had come a long way after years of struggles and trying to figure out how to close games.
The Cavs have shown why teams need to be patient with their vision.
It happened with the Boston Celtics and the Denver Nuggets recently.
Instead of blowing up the roster, they kept building around their stars and allowing them to get the experience they needed to thrive.
It’s been a long way to the top, and the Cavs have officially arrived.
