Darius Garland has become a pivotal and beloved part of the Cleveland Cavaliers franchise.
In just a few short years, the guard has risen through the ranks and is now one of the star players for the squad.
He put up an average of 21.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 8.6 assists in the last season and it’s expected he will do even better than that when the new season starts.

Although Garland makes it all look easy, the superstar-in-the-making spoke openly about the difficulties and challenges of playing in the NBA recently.
Sitting down with the Varsity House podcast, Garland talked frankly about how playing in the league is more difficult than people expect because you’re playing against “grown men” looking to win and “put food on the table” for their families.
Garland made it clear that the guys in the NBA fight hard and with purpose: they will elbow you, fight you, push past you, and do whatever they can to win.
Garland is a young man who understands the game and it’s obvious he’s only getting better.
Garland’s Growth
There is no doubt that moving to the NBA was definitely quite an adjustment but Garland seems to be doing just fine figuring out how the big league works.
He’s been in the league for just three years but he’s grown by leaps and bounds in that short amount of time.
During his first season, he was averaging 12.3 points a game and now he’s scoring 21.7 points.
His hard work is paying off as he is now an All-Star and his team is in playoff contention for the first time in years.
It isn’t easy playing in the NBA but Garland seems to be having a grand time doing just that.
