If it seems like the Cleveland Cavaliers are making history with every game that goes by, it’s because they are.
The team continues to add more wins to their best start to a season in franchise history, and the players are also stacking up accolades.
That was the case with Darius Garland.
As pointed out by Evan Dammarell on X, the Vanderbilt product just moved past World B. Free (6,329 points) to move to 12th on the Cavaliers’ all-time scoring list.
With his 14th point tonight, Darius Garland (6,330 PTS) moved past World B. Free (6,329 PTS) for the 12th on the #Cavs all-time scoring list, per the team.

To get that honor, Garland only needed to score 14 points against the Dallas Mavericks.
He finished the game with 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting, adding a couple of three-pointers, four rebounds, nine assists, and one steal.
The Cavaliers put up 134 points on the road despite Garland and Donovan Mitchell combining for fewer than 40 points, and that tells everything you need to know about this version of the team.
You never know who will get hot on any night, and they don’t mind riding the hot hand as often as needed to get the job done.
To make this even more impressive, it took place during their fourth game of a Western Conference road trip.
The Cavaliers have now won 30 of their first 34 games of the season.
That’s tied for the third-best start to a season in NBA history.
And while there’s still plenty of work to do, we’ve almost reached the midpoint of the regular season, and they’ve gone a perfect 10-0 against Western Conference opposition so far this season.
