The Cleveland Cavaliers will have to hit the drawing board and figure out their best course of action in the offseason.
They’ve always been unwilling to entertain the thought of moving on from Darius Garland.
However, after yet another disappointing offseason outing and performance, that may have finally changed.
With that in mind, other teams around the league could also be in the mix to acquire him.
According to a report by NBA insider Grant Afseth (via NBA Central), the Sacramento Kings have set their sights on Garland and Trae Young to solve their issues at the point guard position.

Garland’s trade value may have taken a hit after he went under the knife yet again, this time because of a toe injury.
Then again, the Kings have a long history of making deals that don’t benefit them, and the Cavs’ front office could and should make the most of that.
The Kings are looking to get a point guard just a couple of years after they had De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton on their roster.
That reeks of desperation, and they have some interesting pieces the Cavs could look to lure to Ohio in a transaction.
It’s not that the Cavs should look to get rid of or dump Garland at all costs.
He’s a good player, just maybe not a star.
But if any team comes knocking with an offer they cannot refuse, it would be very difficult to make a case for them to keep him around for longer.
