The Cleveland Cavaliers probably won’t make a lot of noise in the upcoming NBA draft, but that doesn’t mean they will be completely silent.
According to Spencer Davies, the Cavaliers worked out Villanova forward Eric Dixon recently.
Davies described Dixon as a “burly forward who won the NCAA men’s scoring title, earning Big East First team and Third Team All-American honors.”
Did the Cavaliers like what they saw from Dixon?

Dixon is the sort of physical player who could bring a lot to the Cavaliers’ bench.
He could certainly be a strong and big addition that could give the team more of the strength and fight that some fans have called for.
He has skills when it comes to working his way through strong defense and even taking a lot of contact.
He won’t back down from a fight and may be very intimidating to opponents.
He has also shown growth when it comes to mid-range and three-point shots, too, making him a versatile threat.
Despite his size and strength, there have been complaints about his defensive skills, and that is an area he needs to develop more.
Still, he is young and has plenty of time to get better.
There is no doubt that the Cavaliers see a lot of upside to Dixon, but that doesn’t mean they will go for him in the draft.
It’ll be interesting to see what other players they work out in the weeks ahead before they make their choice.
Dixon could be a steal, especially later in the draft, and might end up being the reliable backup star the Cavaliers need.
