The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday, but just barely.
They squeaked out a 133-129 overtime win, bringing their season total to 50-10.
This was an important overtime victory, according to Cavs Notes.
On X, they wrote that the game marked Cleveland’s 11th straight overtime win at Rocket Arena, dating back to February of 2020.
In other words, if the Cavaliers go into overtime at home, they are probably going to win.
With their overtime victory, the @cavs have now won 11 straight OT games at @RocketArena dating back to February 2020.#LetEmKnow

No team ever wants to be in overtime but the Cavaliers’ record at home is very reassuring.
This time, it was De’Andre Hunter who did the most for the team during their extra five minutes.
He scored nine points and four rebounds in overtime, while Max Strus scored three and Jarrett Allen put up two points, one rebound, and two assists.
This sort of ferociousness at home is great news because there is a good chance the team has home court advantage in the playoffs.
It’ll take a lot to pry them from the top spot in the East, which means whoever they play against in the opening round will have to get through multiple games in Cleveland.
If the Cavaliers always play like this at home, they will be in good shape all the way to the Finals.
The Cavaliers have quite a few home games left in the 2024-25 season, including matches against the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks, and more.
They are dominating when they’re in Cleveland, which is very promising for the rest of the season and the playoffs.
