The Cleveland Cavaliers don’t have a first-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
As such, they will have to wait for a while before being able to add some young reinforcements.
With that in mind, the Cavs have been meeting with some prospects who may have flown under the radar but who could be plug-and-play, NBA-ready pickups.
According to One Motive Sports, the Cavs recently met with Temple forward Steve Settle III.

Settle averaged 12.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and more than 33 minutes per game in 31 starts last season.
The Cavs have the No. 49 and No. 58 overall picks, and he’s the kind of prospect who usually fills their bill as a two-way contract player.
Settle is a prototypical 3-and-D wing who shot 41.6 percent from beyond the arc in his final college season, and he’s made a name for himself with his catch-and-shoot game.
He knows how to make the most of his long arms on defense and has quick hands and good recognition in passing lanes.
Of course, like most second-round picks, some may argue he’s closer to being a finished product than having some sort of bigger upside.
But even if that’s the case, he’s the kind of player who can be trusted to make an impact right out of the gate, and a contending team like the Cavs can’t afford to wait and develop players if they want to make the most of their championship window.
