The Cleveland Cavaliers keep making history this season.
Notably, that also applies to their players.
The Cavaliers are playing freely and confidently, translating into career years for some players.
That’s why it’s not much of a surprise to see Caris LeVert cracking a historic milestone for himself.
In the win over the Charlotte Hornets, LeVert recorded the 2,000th assist of his career, according to a report by Spencer Davies.

Dating back to last year, the Cavs have had LeVert running the offense at times.
He deserves credit for recognizing what the team needs from him and embracing his role, whatever it may be.
He was known as an instant offensive spark off the bench and a scorer, but he’s also made big strides as a playmaker.
His court vision has improved, and he’s seemingly gone against his instincts and usual playing style to become more of a facilitator at times.
He’s not forcing shots or heat-checking as often as he used to do in the past, which has led to a more efficient brand of basketball for this team.
Of course, he’s never going to be Magic Johnson or someone to rely on as the de facto point guard for long stretches; that’s just not who he is.
But it’s still nice to see players buy in and adjust their game for the team’s sake.
That’s what it’s all about.
