Kenny Atkinson has changed the Cleveland Cavaliers’ offense.
Darius Garland and Evan Mobley are both being more aggressive, and they’ve gotten into a nice rhythm to start the season.
Needless to say, that opens up a lot of options for the team on the offensive end of the floor.
As Brian Windhorst of ESPN pointed out, having them put pressure inside takes a lot of pressure off Donovan Mitchell’s shoulders (via ESPN Cleveland).

On “The Really Big Show”, Windhorst stated that the Cavaliers often relied on going inside out when they drove, and that’s not necessarily the case anymore.
For years, the fans expected Garland and Mobley to be more aggressive on the offensive end of the floor.
They both have the potential to be dominant three-level scorers.
Mobley developing a go-to move in the post could help open up space for the guards.
With Garland’s mid-range and finishing skills, opposing defenses will also have to stay honest.
The Cavaliers have yet to lose a game this season.
Their defense is one of the best in the game, but their offense has been even better.
All of those years working with the Golden State Warriors’ free-flowing offense helped Coach Atkinson maximize his personnel.
This team will eventually start losing as this level of success is unsustainable for any team.
But so far, there are more than enough reasons to be encouraged about the Cavaliers and their young stars.
