The Cleveland Cavaliers just lost their first game since the All-Star Game.
Moreover, that was also their first loss in over a month.
That speaks volumes about how dominant this team has been.
As pointed out by Evan Dammarell on X, their five-point loss to the Orlando Magic was their first setback since De’Andre Hunter joined the team at the trade deadline.
It was also the first loss since they changed the name of the stadium from Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to Rocket Arena.
According to Dammarell, even despite the loss, the Cavs are still on pace to win 68 games this season, which would be eleven games better than the best season in franchise history.
This was also the first loss the Cavs have suffered when entering the fourth quarter with a lead.
This the first loss the #Cavs have suffered when entering the fourth quarter with a lead.
It’s also the first loss in the De’Andre Hunter era and at Rocket Arena for Cleveland.
However, they’re still 56-11, which is still a 68-win pace.

The Cavs have never won more than 57 games in a regular season, and they’re just one win away from tying that mark.
Of course, no one wants to lose, and the fans will be disappointed to see that their franchise and league-best 16-game winning streak came to an end.
Even so, it was unrealistic to believe that this team would finish the season without another loss.
If anything, the Orlando Magic seemed to have this game marked in their calendars since the start of the season as they looked to avenge last year’s playoff loss.
There’s nothing to worry about, and Kenny Atkinson and his coaching staff will have more than enough time to test things out, make adjustments, and ensure that this team is ready to get things done when it matters most.
