The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to be one of the best dominant teams in the NBA.
It turns out that their 15-0 start wasn’t a fluke, as this team has stayed steady throughout the season.
There are many possible explanations for their impressive campaign, including the fact that they are among the deepest teams in the league, which helps give their starters fresh legs when they need a breather.
For all of these reasons and more, Dan Favale of Bleacher Report gave the Cavaliers an A+ during his midseason grading for each team in the league.
“Cleveland continues to have a historically significant net rating while remaining on track for 70 or more victories. Its rotation is among the deepest and most well-balanced in the league, right down to its staggered-star units. Evan Mobley is tracking toward back-of-the-MVP ballot considerations” Favale said.
One of the most eye-opening statements from Favale is that the Cavaliers are still on track to log at least 70 wins this season.
They might have a hard time beating or tying the Golden State Warriors’ impressive 72-9 season, but 70 wins isn’t out of the question.
This speaks to the consistency the Cavaliers have found all year, and even when players go out with injuries, they find ways to win games.
Finding ways to win difficult games is often the mark of a playoff-caliber team that can make a deep run down the stretch.
There’s still a lot of season left to go, but the Cavaliers have to be impressed with themselves for the work they’ve done to make it this far.
