The Cleveland Cavaliers have the best record in the league right now.
Notably, that has been the case for most of the season.
That’s why the front office needed to be very thorough and meticulous about the moves they made at the trade deadline.
With that in mind, Cavs analyst Jason Lloyd believes the team knocked it out of the park with the De’Andre Hunter trade.
Talking on the “Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show,” the renowned analyst praised GM Koby Altman and his staff for keeping his young players, landing Hunter, and staying under the salary cap.
The De'Andre Hunter deal was a slam dunk for Koby Altman & the #Cavs. @ByJasonLloyd didn't think a move like this was possible for that price but thinks it makes Cleveland significantly better. pic.twitter.com/Yn3cENcpHR

While he acknowledges that the Cavs will most likely be a second-apron team next season, he now believes that they’re ‘whole’ and will not have to address any glaring need in free agency.
Hunter is still under contract for another two years, and he’s just what the Cavs needed at the deadline.
He should be their starting small forward for years to come.
Hunter’s length, three-point shooting, athleticism, and defense give the Cavs the wing-stopper and 3-and-D player they had been craving this season.
Of course, losing Caris LeVert wasn’t ideal, given that he was the team’s primary scoring source off the bench.
Nonetheless, they got significantly better with Hunter’s addition.
Furthermore, they didn’t have to give up any valuable assets to acquire a former No. 4 pick.
All things considered, this was an absolute home run of a deal for the Cavaliers during a historic season.
