The Cleveland Cavaliers are the top team in the East and have had their best season in ages, but that doesn’t mean they are perfect.
In fact, Jason Timpf recently noted an issue that could be a glaring problem during the playoffs.
On X, he said that the Cavs are 14th in defense and 25th in defensive rebounding since January 1.
Is this something that Cleveland fans should be worried about, considering just how tough the Eastern Conference will be during the postseason?

Their defensive record might be a bit concerning, but the Cavaliers have still been playing amazing basketball.
Of course, if they want to be in the best position for a championship, they will need to address this as soon as they can.
The defensive rebounding looks like the area that could most easily be improved, considering the Cavaliers have two of the most impressive and respected big men in the league with Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley.
The entire squad, meanwhile, has to get in the act to improve the team’s overall defense.
The Cavs have been suffering more losses lately.
They went down for four in a row in March and have lost two of their last eight games.
Their record is still strong, and they have good odds for the playoffs, but Cleveland has shown signs of fatigue.
They were taken down by the Sacramento Kings on Sunday and face the Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, New York Knicks, and Pacers again to end the season.
The team will be taking a hard look at every area that needs to be improved and will hopefully ramp up their efforts at the start of the postseason.
Ideally, their defensive problems will be fixed by the opening round.
