The Cleveland Cavaliers have one of the best rosters in the Eastern Conference, but it hasn’t been enough to earn them a lot of postseason success.
Some people feel it’s time for a big change, while others want the team to look the same next season.
Speaking on 92.3 The Fan, Anthony Lima said that fans are making a big mistake when they tell the front office not to make changes.
“I do think the big mistake I’m hearing right now by Cavs fans who say, ‘Stand pat, there’s no reason to shake anything up, look at the landscape, look at the Eastern Conference,’ to that I say: Buckle up. I do think this could be a crazy, crazy trade season. There could be massive trades. The chessboard we are looking at today, it’s not gonna be the chessboard come draft night. So, to just sit here and say, ‘Well, the Cavs, talent-wise. [are] right up there in the Eastern Conference.’ Sure, that’s not gonna change, but the other teams we’re competing with are gonna be aggressive, too,” Lima said.

Lima agrees that the Cavaliers have some wonderful stars and should be able to win a lot.
But that isn’t considering the fact that the rest of the East is trying to get better, and could make some massive adjustments this summer.
This could be a very busy offseason, with a lot of blockbuster trades that shake up everything.
The New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, and others could be restructuring.
If that happens, it’ll make life even more challenging for the Cavaliers next year.
Talent is important, and the Cavaliers surely have plenty of it.
But that doesn’t guarantee anything, especially in the modern NBA world.
It might be painful, but the Cavaliers may need to substantially alter their roster if they wish to keep up with the rest of the Eastern Conference.
