The Cleveland Cavaliers are well on pace to win over 60 games this season.
They might not even lose 20 games all year.
That’s much better than what most people anticipated from them this year, even the most optimistic fans.
That’s why Ryan Tyler believes no one else besides Kenny Atkinson should win Coach of the Year.
In the latest edition of the Bruce Drennan Show, he made a case for Atkinson to run away with the award:
“I think it’s undeniable Kenny Atkinson in his first year, you’re looking at 60+ wins, who knows maybe 70?” he said.
Our team is ready to crown Kenny Atkinson Coach of the Year!

Truth be told, it’s hard to argue with that statement.
Getting to 70 wins might not be realistic, as the team would have to go undefeated in the final 14 games of the season.
Then again, they’ve gone on win streaks of at least 15 games twice this season, so we wouldn’t rule that out entirely.
Even if that’s not the case, it’s very realistic to think that this team can win at least 65 games this season.
No one expected such a quick turnaround for this organization, especially considering that they didn’t make many moves in free agency.
Atkinson has brought back life to this team, taking their defensive identity from the J.B. Bickerstaff era and turning things up a couple of notches on offense.
They still have to prove themselves in a seven-game series, and their lack of a true superstar has also raised doubts among some people.
But given how dominant they’ve been this year, even against some of the best teams in the league, there’s no doubt that Atkinson should draw most of the votes for Coach of the Year.
