The Cleveland Cavaliers have the best team in the NBA this season.
As such, some thought they could and should have four All-Stars.
However, that wasn’t the case.
Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and Evan Mobley got the nod.
Jarrett Allen, unfortunately, didn’t make it.
Even so, NBA analyst Garrett Bush doesn’t agree with the narrative that he was snubbed.
Talking on the “Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show,” Bush argued that you can’t have all players make the All-Star team, even if you have the best team in the league.
Was #Cavs big man Jarrett Allen SNUBBED from the NBA All-Star game?@Gbush91 says NOPE!https://t.co/rXZtwkCINE pic.twitter.com/0zwCAYz4ZL

He talked about some first-time All-Stars getting the nod over Allen, such as Tyler Herro and even Mobley.
He also believes that if one of the core four were to be snubbed, it would probably be Allen anyway.
Certainly, Allen has had an All-Star-caliber season from a basketball standpoint, but the reality is that he lacks the flashy plays or statistics that fans and coaches typically favor for these games.
As Bush pointed out, even LaMelo Ball didn’t make the cut, and that’s despite being the top vote-getter among backcourt players.
Fortunately, Allen could still be in consideration as a potential injury replacement.
But even if that’s not the case, that shouldn’t discourage him.
If anything, it should only be a big source of motivation for the second half of the campaign.
At the end of the day, this team is playing for something much bigger than making the All-Star Game or individual recognition.
