The Cleveland Cavaliers were riding a ten-game winning streak heading into Wednesday night’s clash with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Notably, all of those wins had come by at least ten points.
Even so, some still doubted whether they could beat the best team in the Western Conference.
That’s why Tony Rizzo believes they made a big statement on Wednesday night.
Talking on ESPN Cleveland’s “The Really Big Show,” the renowned pundit praised the Cavs’ role players, as the team pulled off the win even with Donovan Mitchell struggling from the field.

Mitchell finished the game with 11 points on 3-of-16 from the floor, but he knocked down a huge shot in the second half when the Thunder were creeping closer.
It was a back-and-forth game with multiple lead changes, but Kenny Atkinson’s team never panicked.
It’s always nice to beat a playoff-caliber opponent, especially when that opponent might be the same team they face in the NBA Finals.
Of course, there’s still a little over half of the season to be played, and it’s still way too early to think about that.
Then again, this team keeps winning, and it only makes sense that they take those kinds of games a little more seriously.
The Cavs are now winners of eleven games in a row, the longest streak in the league.
Also, they have won all but one game at home this season.
More impressively, they have proven that they can beat legitimate championship contenders.
