The Cleveland Cavaliers can’t be stopped.
Kenny Atkinson’s team just set a new franchise record with its 16th consecutive win.
The Cavs also set a mark with 11 straight wins on the road, and this is the second time this season they’ve won at least 15 consecutive games.
Asked about that, Evan Mobley claimed it was a testament to how hard they play, how much they work, and their mindset.
“We’re just going out there playing our brand of basketball, not worried about the records, necessarily, and it’s just coming out this way,” Mobley told Cavs sideline reporter Serena Winters.
Loved what @evanmobley had to say about this already historic Cavaliers season.
And hearing him think back on his first-ever Cavs game here in Memphis and how far heโs come is pretty neat too. pic.twitter.com/PC71IYlbBg

This has been the tone of this team since the start of the 2024-25 NBA season.
You never hear them talking about their numbers or what they’ve accomplished.
If anything, they only uplift their teammates, rave about how this wouldn’t be possible without one another, and talk about how the job is not done yet.
This team is closer to 60 wins than it is to 20 losses, and not even the most optimistic fan saw this coming at the beginning of the campaign.
However, they’re still not the betting favorites to win the NBA championship, most likely because they’ve fallen short in the postseason in the past.
That’s fair, but this isn’t the same Cavs team of old.
The young players have grown from their mistakes, and they’re playing the best brand of basketball this franchise has seen in quite some time.
Hopefully, the Cavs will be able to cap this off just like they did in 2016, with a championship.
