Unless something unexpected happens, the Cleveland Cavaliers will end the regular season as the best team in the Eastern Conference.
They are all but assured a spot in the playoffs.
That means the team needs to start thinking of the postseason and should be planning roster adjustments.
Some adjustments might lead to one of the team’s biggest players not being on the floor as often.
Speaking on 92.3 The Fan, Chris Fedor revealed that big man Jarrett Allen could be spending more time on the sidelines in the playoffs.
“Jarrett Allen’s just going to have to accept he’s going to get less minutes…and he’s probably not going to finish a bunch of games in the playoffs,” Fedor said.
Although fans could be disappointed to see less of Allen, they should keep in mind that it would be for the greater good.

Fedor explained that Allen on the bench would only be because head coach Kenny Atkinson needs to make changes that best serve the team in the playoffs.
There is a big difference between the regular season and postseason and teams have to tweak their approaches when the playoffs start.
Allen is one of the most beloved and talented big men in the league, but if the Cavaliers need a different skill set, he will have to accept more time on the bench.
There is no reason to suggest he will push back against that because he has shown again and again that he’s willing to do what it takes to support his team.
If they need him to take on fewer minutes, he will surely do it.
Fans will also fall in line, especially if they see success.
The postseason is getting closer and now is the time for the Cavaliers to start figuring out what that will look like for them.
Things might appear different, but that’s okay if it results in a championship.
