The Cleveland Cavaliers are cruising along with a 48-10 record and an eight-game winning streak.
Their only loss in the last 13 games was a 112-105 defeat at the hands of the current No. 2 seed and defending champion Boston Celtics in early February.
Cleveland has a chance to enact a little revenge on Friday night when they head to Boston for a potential Eastern Conference Finals preview, and one analyst recently revealed the key for Cleveland to avoid bookending this eight-game winning streak with a pair of losses to the Celtics.
During a recent episode of The Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show, co-host Garrett Bush said the most important thing for the Cavs is to not allow the Celtics to get comfortable.
“When they start shooting threes and they start hitting, it’s an uphill battle the rest of the game,” he noted.

He acknowledged that it’s a given that the Celtics will make shots, but he stressed the importance of making sure no single player starts getting too hot and taking over the game.
Bush also said this is a game where De’Andre Hunter should see as many minutes as possible given his size and defensive versatility on the perimeter, which aligns well with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown on paper.
This will be the first matchup between the teams since the Cavs traded for Hunter, and it will be interesting to see if he can serve as a missing piece for the Cavs.
Cleveland certainly had this specific matchup in mind when trading for Hunter, as Boston ended the Cavs’ 15-0 start to the season before beating them again in early February to end a little four-game streak, which Cleveland then followed up with the eight-game streak it is currently on.
Friday’s battle should be a good one.
