The Cleveland Cavaliers might not have the most talented roster in the league.
What they do have, however, is four very good players who finally seem to mesh well with one another.
That’s why NBA analyst Justin Rowan believes this team has such a high floor.
As he pointed out on X, their ability to always have two anchors on the floor has set them apart from other teams nightly.
He reported that the core four of Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen currently has a net rating of +12.3 when playing with a small forward, whether it’s Isaac Okoro, Dean Wade, Max Strus, or Caris LeVert.
In such situations, Garland and Allen combine for a +11.2 net rating, whereas Mitchell and Mobley have a +15.7 net rating.
Part of why the Cavs have such a high floor on a nightly basis is their ability to have two anchors on the floor at all times.

The Cavaliers can deploy a myriad of different combinations, and they will most likely always have an elite defender and rim protector with an explosive scorer and facilitator in the backcourt.
That also allows them to excel in pick-and-roll situations, and all of their small forwards have been efficient three-point shooters this season.
They might not have the most prominent names in the game or the top ten players, but this is a team sport, and they’re playing the best team basketball.
Also, as much as other teams can rely on their star duos, they have a deep team with multiple players who can step up on a nightly basis, which is not something all teams can brag about.
