The Cleveland Cavaliers haven’t played at full strength for the majority of the 2023-24 NBA season due to a plethora of injury troubles to some key members of the roster.
Among them is All-Star Darius Garland, who missed all but 20 games this season.
Garland has missed several weeks due to a fractured jaw injury, but soon the veteran guard will be back on the team.
In fact, NBA analyst Chris Fedor recently revealed via his official Twitter handle that Garland has been cleared to resume basketball activities amidst recovery from his injury.
“Garland, the Cavs’ injured point guard who has been sidelined since Dec. 15 because of a fractured jaw that has forced an all-liquid diet, has received clearance to resume basketball-related activities,” Fedor wrote.

As mentioned by Chris Fedor in his report, the talented guard has been sidelined since December 15 because of his jaw injury.
However, after not playing basketball for more than one month, Garland has finally taken an important step in his recovery.
Prior to getting injured, Garland made 20 appearances for the Cavaliers, averaging 20.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game for the team.
While missing a player who can score more than 20 points in a game is a huge setback for any team, the Cavaliers have managed to stay competitive this season.
In fact, the Cavs are currently the fourth seed in the loaded Eastern Conference, and they hold a solid 23-15 record.
With Garland bound to make his return sooner rather than later, it makes sense for fans to expect great things from the Cavaliers in the second half of the season.
But can they reach the 2024 NBA Championship?
