The Cleveland Cavaliers have gone through a lot of struggles during the 2023-24 NBA season.
Despite combing through a plethora of injury-related issues, the Cavaliers have managed to stay competitive.
A key reason behind the success of the Cavaliers has been the consistent performances of none other than their center Jarrett Allen.
While Donovan Mitchell has handled the scoring duties for most of the season, Allen has been a beast on the defensive end of the floor, as he has pulled down double-digit rebounds in most of the games this season.
In fact, according to a tweet by Cavs Notes, Allen is just two double-doubles away from tying the franchise record for most consecutive double-doubles.

As of now, Allen has recorded nine consecutive double-doubles in the 2023-24 NBA season.
While it’s a sensational achievement on its own, Allen can tie Andre Drummond and Elmore Smith, who hold the record for most consecutive double-doubles in the history of the Cavaliers with 11 each.
Considering the Cavaliers haven’t even reached the halfway point this season, there is a strong chance that Allen will break this record and add more than 11 consecutive double-doubles to his name.
As for his stats this season, Allen is averaging 14.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game for the Cavaliers.
Thanks to Allen’s numbers, the Cleveland Cavaliers are currently the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference and flaunt a solid 23-15 record this season.
Considering the Cavaliers’ performance this season, they are undoubtedly one of the dark horse candidates to make a deep run in the 2024 playoffs.
