The Cleveland Cavaliers were the best team in the Eastern Conference and were supposed to go all the way to the NBA Finals.
They didn’t, and now everyone is wondering why.
Speaking on 92.3 The Fan, Zach Harper talked about why the Cavs came up short and suggested that there is something nefarious and significant at work behind the scenes in Cleveland.
“There is something keeping this team from making it beyond the second round. I don’t think you can just go into next season saying, ‘Hey, the East is a lot weaker,'” Harper said.

NBA fans always say there is a big difference between the regular season and the playoffs, and the Cavaliers once again learned that the hard way this year.
They were in a great position when the postseason kicked off, but it soon became clear that they had major hurdles they couldn’t get over.
Some people blame injuries, which were truly troubling, but it was more than just that.
Other fans are concerned, saying that the Cavaliers just don’t have the level of fight in them that is needed to go far in the playoffs.
They are going to need to change something next season, because the East isn’t getting weaker.
In fact, with trades coming and Jayson Tatum and Tyrese Haliburton likely out for a long time, the East is now more wide open than ever.
The Cavaliers now have a stigma attached to them, and they are viewed as a squad that just can’t cut it under the bright lights of the playoffs.
How can they change that?
It’s not just injuries that held them back, so the Cavaliers need to find the real problem and solve it quickly.
