The Cleveland Cavaliers were without Darius Garland for several weeks because of a toe injury, but he was back with the team on Friday night.
Sadly, he is still hurt, but is pushing through the pain.
Following the game, he spoke with Cleveland.com about how he is feeling, making it clear that he is not out of the woods with his injury yet.
“Y’all don’t understand what I’m going through,” Garland said. “I mean, everybody had their opinion.”
Garland put up 10 points and three assists during his team’s 126-104 win over the Indiana Pacers, bringing the series total to 2-1.
He obviously isn’t 100 percent healed and doesn’t feel like his regular self.
Despite that, he wanted to be there for his team and served a key role during their much-needed win.
Thankfully, the Cavaliers didn’t have to rely solely on Garland, which meant they weren’t demanding too much from him.
He wasn’t able to move like he usually does and was obviously in pain throughout the game.
Now he gets a day off and will have to be at it again against the Pacers on Sunday.
He was a game-time decision, and it’s very possible that he will be again on Sunday.
That means the Cavs might be without Garland.
Of course, he might feel even better with a day off and more time to heal.
But will Cavs fans ever see Garland at 100 percent during this series or is the toe injury going to continue to hold him back?
He is right when he said that no one really knows exactly what he is going through, but he is obviously still experiencing some serious pain.
